Write down the rules
Contribution amount and frequency, joining fee, late fines, what happens when someone leaves. Your constitution, as settings. Change them later and every change is logged.

Invite the members
Each member gets their own reference and signs the agreement on their phone. Bring your history with you: import the contribution spreadsheet you already keep.

Keep the book together
Members write their EFT or cash payment into the book; the treasurer confirms it once it's in the bank. Reminders, fines and statements follow the rules on their own.

Before you start
Do our members need to install anything?+
No. Each stokvel gets its own web address. Members open it on their phone's browser and can add it to their home screen like an app. Statements they've downloaded still open without signal.
Can we bring our existing spreadsheet?+
Yes. Upload your member list and contribution history as CSV or Excel, check the preview, and it's written into the book with an audit trail. You can roll an import back if it went wrong.
Who can see and change the money?+
Members only see their own book. The treasurer and chairperson record and confirm payments; the secretary manages members and notices. Nothing in the ledger can be edited or deleted — only reversed, with a reason.
Is members' personal information safe?+
ID and bank details are encrypted, each stokvel's data lives in its own database schema, and every member can download a copy of their data or ask for it to be removed once they've left, as POPIA requires. See our privacy notice.
What does it cost?+
One monthly subscription per stokvel, sized by number of members. See pricing. There's nothing for members to pay.
